Temperature Control Modules / Heating & Cooling Systems

Flow Technology will design and propose the optimum temperature control system typically for jacketed process plant temperature control to provide the heat transfer rates required in the temperature range specified.

Typical systems include atmospheric water, pressurized water, glycol and thermal oils as the heat transfer fluid... (Read more)

All our Temperature Control systems are designed and built using our own engineers & craftsmen. Skid systems are built in our own workshops where we can facilitate testing prior to delivery to site.

System Design

The following factors are carefully considered in the design of a CIP system

  • Operating parameters to provide the desired cleaning effect – flowrate, pressure, temperature, detergent concentration, cleaning head cycle time
  • Cleaning medium – Purified water, WFI, treated water, mains water, detergent solutions or solvents.
  • Cleaning head selection – static, rotary, or rotary jet cleaning heads
  • Utilities to implement selected program – water, steam, compressed air, effluent
  • Standards of construction
  • Control system - i/o count, expandability and extent of data storage for program verification and trending, status display including identification of fault condition
  • Documentation requirements
  • Inspection and testing including PED or ATEX as appropriate.

Cleaning-in-Place

Flow Technology will design the optimum solution for cleaning any type of process plant. Our solutions range from supply of individual spray heads to complete turnkey Clean-In-Place (CIP) systems.

The Benefits of Cleaning-in-Place

The benefits of a properly designed CIP system will very often provide tangible paybacks to justify the capital outlay

These include:

  • Repeatability. Being independent of the plant operator the system will reproduce its defined program and maintain a record of each cleaning cycle.
  • Elimination of dead legs or product/CIP mixing. Once the extent of each program has been incorporated into the process description the system will check each system component for correct position before the cycle can start or proceed.
  • Economy of detergent, water or other rinse medium, steam, compressed air and effluent.
  • The duration of each program step is optimised, rinses may be recovered and reused as pre-rinses and regenerative heat recovery avoids thermal shock to the plant and saves energy.
  • Low labour costs. A system that does not require operator supervision but will call attention to system failures as they occur before the cleaning cycle can proceed.
  • Safety. Eliminates conditions which may cause damage to process plant such as vessel implosion due to vacuum created by following hot cleaning cycle with cold rinse.
  • Our capability centres on the ability of the high calibre team of experienced engineers, both graduate & timeserved , together with our skilled craftsmen, who
