Design process
The heat transfer requirements of the process vessel will typically define the requirements of the temperature control module. This usually includes the heat transfer fluid, flowrate, heat & cooling loads, accuracy of temperature control, design pressure of the system. Working with the customer on these details and the available utilities we will develop a process flow sheet for the system.
Typical systems include indirect heating using plant steam or electricity, and cooling / chilling either indirectly through a heat exchanger or directly by displacement. Most systems will include a reservoir of the heat transfer fluid and/or a pressurization system.
Standards of construction
The standard of construction used in our temperature control systems will be agreed with the customer. The options include schedule stainless steel or carbon steel pipe. Our systems can be built in our workshop on a stainless steel box section frame and shipped to site ready to ‘plug-in’ fully piped and wired. Alternatively we also build systems on site.
Where applicable our systems are CE marked, and will be PED or ATEX certified as appropriate.
Control
Some of the system we produce will be manually controlled or mobile. However most are fixed and are automated. We can provide the full automation system as part of our system or we are happy to work with the client automation provider whether PLC or DCS control system.
All our Temperature Control systems are designed and built using our own engineers & craftsmen. Skid systems are built in our own workshops where we can facilitate testing prior to delivery to site.
